This policy explains how ProxyArab, the provider of ProxyArab VPN – Fast & Secure (Android package com.proxyarab.openvpn), handles information when you use the app and its supporting VPN services. For privacy questions and requests, contact support@proxyarab.com.
The app routes traffic through a VPN connection. It also processes device identifiers, connection and reward information, diagnostics, advertising data and notification tokens. A VPN connection does not make all app activity anonymous. You do not need to provide a name or email address for ordinary VPN use; information you submit to support is optional.
1. Information we handle and why
- Device and app identifiers: an app-generated identifier, Android ID and identifiers derived from it, and installation identifiers. These support device recognition, VPN time balances, referrals, rewards, notification delivery and abuse prevention. Some identifiers can remain consistent after reinstalling the app; hashing an identifier does not make it anonymous.
- Connection and service information: selected server and country, protocol, connection and disconnection events, connection duration, errors, activity timestamps and periodic connection status updates. We use these to operate the service, manage available VPN time, troubleshoot failures and understand reliability.
- Network and approximate location: our infrastructure receives your IP address when you connect or make an API request. IP information is used for network communication, security and rate limiting, and to estimate location for server selection. This is IP-based location, not GPS location. The app caches its approximate location result locally for about seven days before attempting a refresh; a previous result may be used if a refresh fails.
- Usage and diagnostics: app version, operating system and device information, language, screens viewed, feature interactions, connection failures, crash reports and diagnostic information. These help us maintain the app and improve performance.
- Rewards and referrals: referral codes and relationships, reward claims, rewarded-ad completion, time balances, daily activity and related anti-abuse records. Installation referral information may be used for attribution.
- Notifications: Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens and associated device/app information support service updates and reward or referral messages. A token can be registered even if you decline permission to display notifications.
- Support information: name, email, message contents, feedback, and any device details or diagnostic information you include in contact forms or bug reports. We use these to respond and investigate problems. Please do not send passwords or sensitive browsing information.
- Advertising information: advertising or installation identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, device information, ad impressions, interactions and diagnostic signals may be processed by advertising services to deliver and measure ads and prevent fraud.
2. VPN traffic and Android permissions
The app uses Android's VPN service permission to establish a tunnel and route network traffic through a selected VPN server. Traffic is encrypted between your device and that server. Protection beyond the VPN server also depends on the destination's encryption, such as HTTPS. Network infrastructure necessarily processes addressing and connection information to deliver traffic.
The app's analytics events describe app usage and VPN connection status; they do not require you to submit browsing history or page contents. This policy does not make a blanket “no logs” promise: connection metadata, service records, diagnostics and infrastructure logs are distinct from browsing content and may be processed as described here. Websites and services you visit apply their own privacy policies.
Internet and network-state permissions enable connections. Foreground-service permissions keep the VPN active and show its status. Notification, scheduling and boot-related permissions support reminders and notifications. You can stop the VPN in the app or Android settings and manage notification permissions at any time.
3. Service providers and sharing
Information is processed by our hosting and VPN infrastructure providers and by the following integrated services, as needed for their functions and the configuration of your app version:
- Google Firebase Analytics: app interactions, installation identifiers, device information and connection events for usage measurement.
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash reports, technical diagnostics and installation identifiers for troubleshooting.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging: notification tokens and delivery information.
- Google AdMob, Unity Ads and AppLovin: advertising delivery, rewarded ads, measurement and fraud prevention. Depending on applicable settings and consent, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Non-personalized ads can still involve data processing.
Read the providers' policies: Google Privacy Policy, Firebase privacy information, Unity Privacy Policy, and AppLovin Privacy Policy.
Authorized personnel may access service and support records to operate the app and resolve requests. Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law, to respond to valid legal process, or to investigate fraud and protect the service. Providers and servers may operate in countries different from your own.
4. Storage, retention and security
Preferences, cached server information and certain identifiers are stored on your device. Service-side records include device and notification registrations, balances, referral/reward records, usage information and support submissions. Removing the app does not automatically delete those server-side records or records held by service providers.
Retention varies by record and purpose, including operating the service, maintaining balances, investigating abuse, resolving support requests and meeting applicable legal obligations. There is no single automatic deletion period for all categories. Third-party retention also depends on the provider's policies and service settings. Contact us to request deletion or ask about retention for a particular record.
The app uses HTTPS for its service API and an encrypted VPN tunnel for VPN connections. Access controls and other technical measures help protect service data. No transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
5. Your choices and privacy requests
- Disconnect the VPN to stop routing traffic through the selected VPN server.
- Manage notification permissions in Android settings. Turning off notifications does not itself delete a registered delivery token.
- Use the privacy or advertising controls available on your device and any consent controls presented in the app. Availability depends on your Android version and region.
- Clear app storage to remove local preferences and caches. Device-derived identifiers and service-side records may still exist.
- Request access, correction or deletion through the contact address below. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to a data-protection authority.
For a deletion request, use the subject “ProxyArab VPN data deletion” and describe the relevant app/device or support request. We may ask for information needed to find the record and verify that it belongs to you. Do not send your password. Some information may need to be retained for legal obligations, security or resolving a dispute; we will explain any applicable limitation when responding. Deleting service records can remove reward balances or referral history.
6. Children
The service is not intended for children under 13 or below the applicable minimum age in their region. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
7. Scope and changes
This policy covers the ProxyArab VPN Android app and supporting services. The browser-based web proxy and website have a separate website privacy policy. We may update this page as app features or data practices change and will update the effective date. Where required, additional notice or consent will be provided.
